Research contributes to sustainable development – MINEDUC official

Dr. Marie- Christine Gasingirwa, the Director of Science, Technology and Research in the ministry of Education has said that such research contributes to the sustainable economic development and good governance.

She said the above while officiating at opening of the 5th International scientific research conference organized by the National University of Rwanda (NUR) on Wednesday.

This conference which gathered different scholars across the world is under the theme: “Sustainable Economic Development and Good Governance”.

“Many African nations and Rwanda in particular are ranked among developing countries and a conference like this is very important for countries to find solutions to challenges of economy and enable those countries attain economic growth.

Gasingirwa explained that the conference is also opportunity for Rwandan researchers because it is an exposure to the researchers from different countries of the world.

According to Prof. Verdiana Grace Masanja, the Director of Research Commission at said that Research conference like this one is an opportunity to improve good governance since it helps researchers to discuss about the quality services.
