Rwanda : University of Dar es Salaam to forge partnership with INILAK

A delegation from the University of Dar es Salaam visited the Independent Institute of Lay Adventists of Kigali (INILAK) with the aim of examining areas of possible partnership with the faculty of Law at the institute.

The visit was planned by the Tanzanian-German Center for Postgraduate Studies in Law (TGCL) at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law, in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth, Germany.

According to the Dean of Faculty of Law at INILAK, it was a great opportunity to explore and set possible avenues between the INILAK faculty of law and TGCL, consisting of the granting of Masters’ and PhD scholarships to INILAK law graduates.

Among key personalities on the delegation were Dr. Christian Kirchen and Johanes of the University of Bayreuth who head the scholarships program within TGCL and Dr. Justice Bwana, student’s advisor and lawyer of the Tanzania Supreme Court.

The delegation was composed of eleven people, mainly Law Master’s students who are also professionals within their respective countries of origin from the East African Community.

Among the students was Amos Kiiza, a Rwandan and former INILAK student from the Faculty of Law.
